There are many advantages that come with age: wisdom, a mature outlook on life, and cheaper auto insurance. If you are nearing the age of 75, and your insurance premiums are higher than they should be, or higher than you can afford, then it’s time to start looking at Florida auto insurance discounts specially designed with the senior driver in mind.

The biggest discount available to senior drivers is the one offered for taking and passing a mature driving course.Mature driving courses are aimed at helping senior drivers learn about new changes in traffic laws, how physical changes associated with aging affect driving ability, and tips specifically aimed at helping senior drivers avoid accidents and drive safely.

These courses can either be taken online, or through the local DMV. Insurance companies offer significant discounts to senior drivers who can show that they have passed such courses.
